This is the ant esports mk4500 pro wireless gaming keyboard that comes with Otemu Red switches, which are not hot-swappable. It has a 3 mode multi-device connection option and comes with a detachable frame available in two colors.
To determine its gaming performance and latency, I will test it in detail. It is priced around 3000 rupees with a 1-year warranty.
Inside the box, you will find a manual, card, a yellow and black frame made of plastic material, and a 1.5-meter USB Type-C cable made of PVC material.
So, finally, here's the keyboard. It has a great combination of black and white keycaps, and the in-hand feel is also good. The build quality is solid, with no bending or flexing, and it's quite heavy, weighing almost 760 g.
As it is a tenkeyless keyboard, it is compact in size, and it requires more space on the desk compared to the Hydra 10. The plates are held together with the help of magnets.
The black frame has a different appearance than the yellow one, and if you remove the frame, it gives a floating-style keys look.
Let me know in the comment section which one you like the most.
This keyboard offers a total of three connection options: wired, Bluetooth, and receiver, allowing you to switch between multiple devices using the keys from Z to B. You can see the demo for this feature in the video.
Additionally, you can connect this keyboard to up to three devices simultaneously via Bluetooth. By pressing the BT1, BT2, and BT3 keys on the keyboard, you can easily switch between the devices. The keyboard supports both Bluetooth 5.0 and 3.0 versions.
However, the RGB lighting on this keyboard is not very impressive. It uses static multi-color lighting, which means that if the color is yellow, it will remain yellow, and if it is pink, it will remain pink. You can only change the lighting effects using the FN+INS key, which works fine. Additionally, there is an option to turn off the RGB lighting.
The brightness of the lighting is adequate, visible in daylight and looks good at night. You can adjust the speed and brightness of the RGB lighting using the arrow keys, and there are also five custom modes (G1 to G5) for RGB lighting.
If you are a Mac user, you can use this keyboard by pressing FN+Caps Lock. There are also media and shortcut keys at the top, which can be accessed using the FN keys.
So these are the Otemu red switches used in this keyboard, which I didn't find as smooth. I felt some friction while using them. A better option with the same red Otemu switches is the Cosmic Byte Pandora. It is definitely better than this keyboard. However, the Portronics Hydra keyboard has better switches with a smooth feel, using red switches as well.
If you're looking for even better switches, the Gateron red pro is a good option.
To keep the keys stable, something has been used, but it doesn't work very well as it produces a rattling sound, especially in the space and backspace keys. Overall, the typing experience for me was average due to the switch friction and the rattling sound in some keys, which is not justified for this price range.
Also, the information mentioned on Amazon regarding this keyboard being hot swappable is completely wrong.
So, this keyboard has anti-ghosting keys, which is a good thing for gaming, and there is no latency in wired and receiver mode. The movement with the w, a, s, d keys is also accurate. However, the Otemu red switches have ruined the mood, and it seems like good quality switches have not been used, which will definitely affect the gaming experience. The battery size is 1000 mAh, which should easily last for 8-9 days without RGB lighting.
Overall, the keyboard looks and feels good in terms of build quality and connectivity options. The media and shortcut keys are a nice benefit. However, I didn't find the RGB lighting to be impressive and the Otemu Red switches used in this keyboard didn't feel good to me at all. There is also no software support available for this keyboard.
It is priced around 3000 rupees and as an alternative option, I would recommend the Portronics Hydra 10 keyboard which I have reviewed in detail on my channel and found to be much better.
Ultimately, it is up to you to decide based on your own testing and usage which keyboard you prefer to purchase.
