zebronics zeb max ninja 61 is a wireless mechanical keyboard. It comes with Otemu Blue switches, and I am quite impressed with the quality of these switches. It offers three connection options for connectivity.
The RGB lighting is also quite premium, and it has support for media keys as well. Overall, this keyboard seems quite impressive to me. I purchased it for around 3500 rupees, and it comes with a one-year warranty.
In the box, you will receive a 1.5 meter Type-C cable made of PVC material. Additionally, there is an extra keycap included. You will also find a card which you can scan to download the manual.
i purchased the keyboard in white color because it gives a more premium look compared to black. However, when comparing it to other white keyboards, it has a slight off-white color to its keys. In terms of build quality, it seems quite good, and it is also quite heavy with a weight of almost 620g.
The keyboard is quite compact in size with a total of 61 keys. It requires a desk space of exactly 11.5 inches in width and 4 inches in height.
So, this keyboard uses Otemu Blue switches, which are quite similar to the Gaoteon Pro Blue switches. There is no doubt that this keyboard uses good quality blue switches. However, it only offers blue switches and is not hot-swappable.
Compared to red switches, the blue switches on this keyboard are quite loud and clicky, which means you will need to apply slightly more effort when pressing them.
During typing, the presence of blue switches is quite good, as accidental key presses are less likely to happen. The sound produced by these switches is quite similar to that of a typewriter, which is quite pleasant.
All the keys are also quite stable, which means there will be no irritation during typing.
Although there are only a total of 61 keys on this keyboard, almost all the keys that I require for my work are available. This includes arrow keys, volume keys, and even the print screen key, which can be accessed using the Fn keys.
The RGB lighting on this keyboard is quite premium, with a total of 20 effects available. You can also control the brightness and speed of the lighting, and even turn it off completely if needed.
Furthermore, there are three connection options available on this keyboard: receiver, Bluetooth, and wired connection. You will need to manually switch the keyboard to either the receiver or Bluetooth mode at the back, which I did not find very convenient.
However, with the Bluetooth connection, you can connect to a total of three devices by pressing the Q, W, and E keys. This means you can connect up to five devices at once, including one wired, one receiver, and three via Bluetooth.
In normal use, there is no noticeable latency with the wired connection. The battery size is not mentioned anywhere, but most keyboards come with a 1000mAh battery, so this keyboard should also have a similar capacity.
This keyboard has N-key rollover, which means that you can press multiple keys simultaneously without any ghosting issues, making it suitable for both gaming and fast typing.
There is no noticeable latency in gaming with the 2.4 GHz connection. Therefore, for gaming, I would recommend either using the wired or 2.4 GHz connection, as with Bluetooth, there might be some latency that could affect your gaming experience.
Overall, the blue switches of this keyboard are of good quality. The typing experience is quite good and the keyboard is compact in size. Despite having only 61 keys, almost all the necessary keys are available, including arrow keys, volume keys, and print screen keys that can be accessed through the FN keys. The RGB lighting is also impressive with a total of 20 effects, and the brightness and speed can be controlled.
However, the keyboard lacks software support and does not have hot-swappable switches as an option. To switch between wired, Bluetooth, and receiver connections, the switch has to be manually changed on the back of the keyboard.
Overall, if this keyboard is available within the price range of 3500 rupees, it can be a good choice for its blue switches, compact size, and impressive RGB lighting.
